There are even terms for these experiences – "car sex" and "automobile pornography." But why do we find cars so sexy? One theory is that the act of driving involves control and power over the environment, which can be seen as symbolic of sexual dominance. Another possibility is that cars represent freedom and mobility, two qualities strongly associated with desire.
