There is still debate about whether these effects are universal or depend on individual factors like age, gender, cultural background, or personality. Some research suggests that younger adults may be more likely to associate cars with sex than older adults (Farrell & Trivedi, 2018), while others find no significant differences between genders (McLaughlin et al., 2016). It's also possible that people with different personality types might have different reactions to car design - those who value status or power might respond more strongly to muscle cars, while those who favor practicality or safety would prioritize other features.

Psychological research suggests that automotive curves, spoilers, and body lines could stimulate sexual imagination and attraction. Whether this effect is due to a combination of visual cues and cultural associations, it's clear that car design plays an important role in our perception of both cars and ourselves.
