EXPLORING PSYCHOSEXUAL AROUSAL AND ITS ROLE IN AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN: A CASE STUDY OF LOTUS CARS

In this paper I will explore the relationship between automobile design and psychosexual arousal, focusing specifically on the impact that car manufacturers such as Lotus have had on the development of both the human psyche and the automotive industry itself. It is my contention that the unique design elements incorporated into many of these iconic vehicles play an important role in shaping consumer attraction and ultimately influence their purchasing decisions. This argument can be supported through a combination of empirical data gathered from research studies conducted on the topic, along with personal experiences and observations made during time spent working within the field.

The concept of psychosexual arousal has been studied extensively throughout history, dating back to Freud's work on the subject in the early twentieth century.
